    Hi!!

Glad to find this helpful forum!
    Jason here, 25, WA state.
I'm not sure what started it.. but after discovering there was copper in older pennies and electrical appliance wires, i started hording as much as i could for the last 8 or so months! (Cuttin wires before ppl took there stuff to the dump). I liked the look of copper and making money out of junk. There was something that felt so.. right about it-im sure most ppl here know the feeling
And the more i collected the more i learned about other things.. inductors, motors, copper in tv's, and my little hobby became and addiction. NO ONE was aloud to throw anyting away!! lol.
Now I have about 30 pounds of copper and 20lbs or so of motors, some misc brass, tons of old cellphones... and am just now starting to collect ALL metal. Not sure how that will go with my parents lol, but im pretty organized and still trying to learn =) I dont even know what all my scrap yard will take yet but i dont even wanna sell my copper yet ='( lol
    Glad to be here

Welcome to the forum ND. Check with WA state recyclers before you take your non-ferrous in. The new laws are pretty nasty.

As long as you don't mind waiting 2 weeks for a check. I just bring all mine back to Idaho, at least here they stack bennies on the counter and send me on my way.
