Greetings from Savannah, Georgia, fellow forum members!
First, let me express my thanks to all of the contributors here for providing such an amazing wealth of information. I've been lurking around here for a while now-- every time I had a question, good ol' Google kept bringing me right back here to the answers & expertise you all have contributed within.
My boyfriend and I have just gotten into scrapping... it all started last summer when the house we moved into came equipped with 3 broken lawn mowers. We are dedicated recyclers, so it was pretty natural to transition into scrapping.
Another factor that lead me toward the scrap world was my innate motivation to take junk apart-- as a child, I was notorious for breaking stuffs down to see just what made 'em tick. As an adult, I'm currently going to school for computer support and repair-- which let's me take stuff apart all the time.
We are now scrapping in our spare time to help supplement our income, as I was just recently laid off from my regular B.S. job. My boyfriend, Z, restores antique furniture and we have a huge, two-car garage that doubles as his workshop & our scrapping workspace.
So, anyway-- high fives & hugs to everyone-- this forum ROCKS.
