Yes we are doing nonferrous as well, but it tends to be side pay. In our area to be compedditive I am looking at .03 or incom per pound wich barely works out to .01 profit with operating expenses. Although if we doubled out intake it would mitigate the overhead costs.
Thanks for the Link. I have a lot to learn. One of my buyers took me under his wing and explained his
escrap setup and got me in comntact with his buyer. I expect we will be off the ground shortly in that area but there is still tons to learn. I am hoping to avoid the sharp learning curve I experienced when getting started in steel. I had alot of money walk away in the earley days.
We have a bid in on compleete towers to a school that was giving them away for free. I have to take the CRT monitors as well though and that is posing an issue with the CRT tubes. I need to find a local consumer of the tubes or a way to move them without cost. We have to supply a certificate of compliance, so dumping at the landfill or grandpas back yard isint an option. JK with the grandpas back yard. if we cant do it properly we wont do it.
