New to E-scrap not to ferrous /non ferrous

In August of 2007 I started pickup up scrap ferrous along the side of the road to try to save a bit of money to surprise my wife at Christmas. When I got paid for the the first 500# of scrap I realized there was money to made in this. That lead to driving thru neighborhoods on trash day, to cleaning up properties, getting the AC units from a local company etc. It has met some needs along the way since I am the only income w/ three children. It has even made some play money along the way. I dont have alot of time to devout to it but when I get the chance I will jump on it. I reside in the Charlotte, NC area. I recently started E-scrap and am compiling my first load. Still exploring the best place to send it to and how to maximize my dollar.

Hi Miked here I responded to you other post about ewaste buyer. First welcome to the forum. I live on the coast of NC. There is tons of valuable free information about ewaste and other aspects of scrapping. I reccomend you spend a lot of time reading the old threads. Here is a great one to start with if you are new to ewaste.
