Cool been reading all your messages for awhile now

and thought I would join. I guess you could say I am a part time scrapper. I have been part time scrapping for longer then some of you guys have been alive. Hitting mid sixties now and like the country song says "I was country before country was cool" well I guess I've been recycling before recycling was cool. I remember pulling a coaster wagon down cinder alleys in Chicago when I was about 9 years old. It was loaded down with some paper and rags and a little metal and I had to go about 4 blocks through the alleys to the area junkyard where I would unload it for all of about 50 or 70 cents but you could buy a lot of candy back then for 70 cents. LOL Now I like scrapping electrical waste and I make a bit more then I did back then !!! Always loved scrapping -never figured why I didn't get into the business-thinking back on, it I **** well should have.

Cool! SS! That reminded me of when i was about 4 years old, my dad had loaded up a bunch of stuff in the back of an old station wagon, and we were either at a scrap yard, or a wrecking yard, and the man was telling dad he'd give him so much for a tailpipe or a driveshaft or something in there. Maybe after that we went to the scrap yard, actually that's probly what happened, dad stopped at the wrecking yard first to see if he could get more than scrap price for some of it.
Anyway, welcome to the forum, i'm a newbie here myself
