    Cool WELL...Here it goes...I guess I'm becoming a scrapper!

Hello to everyone. Been checking out the site, now joined, and obviously now introducing myself. I am originally from New Jersey, but now live in Sydney, Australia. Tomorrow will be my first trip to a scrap yard in Australia. Have been breakin down TV's,appliances, strippin' wire,(by hand...sloooow!!!) Just startin' small. Hell....yesterday I had to drive on by a washer, dryer, barbecue, and some bed frames, coz I don't have a truck or trailer yet AAARRRRGH!!! Anyway, sorting that out soon, then , sky is the limit.

Also wanted to say thank you to all the people who have shared information on here. Very gratefull, I probably don't even realize how much trial and error, the information here has saved me. Hope I will have something to contribute in the future. Hope 2012 is full of Motherlodes for all of us!!!!

Welcome to the forum. So what woman got you to move to Australia? Also in your scrapping adventrues you may want to check out metal detecting, gold in the outback and gold at the beaches. Mike.

@feonjoe trip to the yard was great! I went to a place that's about 5 minutes away, the guys were helpfull, they tried a little first timer b.s. but thanks to this site I was armed with information. One guy even said "are you sure you haven't scrapped before" so thanks again guys! Anyway total for 1 weekend scrappin and a few hours breakin it down $170.85 I think not bad for a noob with only a car!!!
