    Call around the different recycle centers. I assume you are attempting to turn in bottles or cans that the state government is overpaying for them. Or are you looking for srapyards? The scrap yards near me are not open on Sundays.

    Just from his post I gather he is a longshoreman living in Orange Ca.

    As for a recycling facility open on a Sunday...look for one of these.
