    Hey everyone!

Hey guys, my names Nate and I came here with intentions to both form some relationships with others who are involved in the same business and to learn from everyone out there who's smarter than me (probably most of you lol). I started at a company called Balcum.com about 2 and a half years ago. We sell appliance parts nationally and various recycled appliances and electronics to the local market. Last year I was promoted to the Recycling Supervisor and ever since I have been looking for new ways to make a little extra money off of other peoples junk. So thats pretty much my story and I look forward to chatting with you guys and learning as much as I can. There is never a lack of things to learn.

Welcome Nate. This is definitely the place to learn. As others have stated the info here is better than a college degree.
Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

    Welcome nate!
God is great, scrap is good, and people are crazy

Its better to be scrapping and thinking of God than sitting in church thinking of scrapping

Does your company also buy used parts or appliances, cause we have quite a few appliance scrappers on the forum.

We tend to shy away from buying appliances as we get so many in for free anyways. Between all the accounts we have from the Duluth/Superior area, we have our work cut out for us. However if the appliances are newer, we could possibly find some sort of deal to work out. When it comes to parts, they need to be testable since the ones we sell have gone through a process to ensure they operate as intended.
