Hello fellow scrappers and scrappettes,

My name is Bill and I have been lurking and poaching information from you guys for a couple of weeks and figured it was time to introduce myself. I live in Madison, WI and was recently had my position eliminated due to budget cuts. With all my extra time around the house I started my to due list that had been in neglect the last several years. During these menial chores I realized I was cleaning around wasted money. I had scrapped several vehicles a few weeks prior to this and then something clicked. Scrapping will fill my time nicely and help replace some of the money I would be missing out on. So my computer stash has now become my escrap stash and everything metal that hasnt been used has been stripped and seperated. My biggest challenge now is finding my niche, my adds on CL are constantly flagged and removed within minutes of posting. So thats what I will be investigating on this forum. Trying too figure out a market here that hasn't been utilized here. I would personally like to thank many of you for taking your time and sharing your wisdom, as I have really learned a lot from you folks.

If craigslist is as bad in Madison as it is here in Milwaukee, skip it! It's not worth it.
Beware scrapping is very addicting. Before you know it you will be checking out your fuse box for copper. LOL

So far I have found word of mouth has been keeping me incredibly busy with family and friends. I know that this well will eventually dry up so I am looking for other outlets.
Thanks for the warning but I am afraid it is too late, I am hooked.
