    Microsoft sends e-waste recycler to PRISON for a YEAR!

    Man gets sent to prison for 15 month, and fined tens of thousands of dollar, for downloading free legal restoration disks, and selling them for 25 cents each.

    I didnt watch the video but read a big article on this....the guy commissioned china to make him $80,000 worth of discs literally thousands and was handing them out like candy with refurbished computers

    The video comes down hard on Microsoft for this saying that they are just doing this in order to force people to buy new copies of their software even when they still have valid software licences for their refurbished computers. I tend to agree with this view, but I guess the most important thing to take away from it is beware of Microsoft's wrath if you are refurbishing computers. I can't help feeling sorry for the guy getting hit so hard for distributing free readily available software that anyone can just download legally if they wished to.     How is this any different then any company offering you grants and such for schcool when you can get all that info for free as well?

    Linux and all the flavors of that OS are free to download. Both Amazon and eBay have folks who will sell you these same OS on thumb drives and cd/dvd's. No issues with Linux, another reason I prefer Linux OS.
