Are the (seemingly) plastic coated ic chips off low grade boards considered to be included in the same category as ceramic coated ic chips? (The $3-5/lb category for most buyers) or are these in a different category/worthless? Took a tiny ceramic chip off a board and no matter how hard the pliers squeezed, it wouldn't even splinter. Whereas in attempting to remove another chip off a monitor board, the whole corner chipped out before even one leg let go. Just wanting to know if an ic chip is an ic chip, or if they need to be the "nicer" ceramic ones to have value before starting a collection.
