Picking up one of these printers sometime this week, here is the listing http://newjersey.craigslist.org/zip/2992446017.html. What's in one? I've never dealt with a piece of equipment this large. Any info is appreciated

Plastic. Some boards. Some motors. Some steel. I know I'm forgetting something. Feel free to correct me.
Contact your local printer repair shop to see if they would be interested in any of the parts. Normally a 10 pound transformer, a few 4 pound transformers, a large motor and a bunch of small ones. A high grade board and a couple of low grade boards. Lots of plastic and steel. Be ready for about 250 screws --and not the good kind
This one brake down outside it has powder toner and will make a mess. If you get it on you wash in cold water. It will have several moters most of the time they will be to small to get the copper out of. Mostly low to mid grade boards, lots of wire, steel and about a bucket of screws.
You folks are right about the screws. I did a big copier once, and it had 15 screws holding down 600 more. PITA for sure. Decent amount of steel, some good boards, 50lbs of plastic, and a big ass mess of toner. I wouldn't jump out of bed for another one, but would grab one on a slow week I guess.
I took down a similar copier a few weeks back. I ripped off the plastic all around it. Pulled the wire looms the powersupply board and any high grade board I could see. Then i did the unthinkable. I let anything else inside it..inside it and loaded it on the trailer with the loader! It went with the Shred..LOL

I have scrapped about 8 large printer copy machines so far , First there heavy and wile there will be motors wires transformers & steel .
The tear down is not fast and there is a good amount of weight in plastic glass and such .
My yard is picky but actually takes them as is . Since that is the case That's what I do . Sell as is.
I feel the good weight of non metal makes giving as is worth it if not the real way to get
money on it.
Any time you go the hero direction and end up with weight that the scrap yard does not want your gain with the real stuff,
is off set by the fact you were getting paid for plastic and glass .
some of them weigh 500 pounds thats like $52 ,
Taking it apart you will have to work hard to get that $52
Yet , I guess they could be parted out to some one in need for real good money
