Sorting table

I wanted a granulation system for chopping and sorting icw. I looked at buying a hobby size machine and was shocked at the price. I decided to make one. In my one car garage, with YouTube, bandsaw, welder, lathe, mill, and metal from the scrap yard made a functioning sorting table that sorts copper from plastic. I did have to buy used granulators

Well did you use a hammer mill? Was it the first operation? How did you construct the separating table(vibration table) Did you us a water table. What of the old granulators did you use. I assume you considered repairing one of the old granulators why didn't you?

I was inspired by the Italian companies design for an air table. It was adjustable for slope and air pressure. I used a 3/4 hp motor to shake a 5 ton ac blower to float the plastic and a harbor freight dust collector. I used a phase converter to power a 25 hp Cumberland that was hand fed.

This was my first test run. The 5 gallon bucket is chopped Romex wire that's been reduced to 1/8 pieces. The brown color is the paper insulation mixed with copper and plastic
