Copper Wire Stripper Made from Car Parts

What a great website! I've been cleaning out my grandparents sheds and I've found lots of copper wire to scrap. Over the weekend I made a copper wire stripper out of a few car parts. I've got a youtube video of it and I wanted to share.

I like the idea and it's pretty MacGyver. However, I don't know about using it for much longer than in the video as I'm sure that the starter will get hot after 10-15 seconds and eventually burn up....not to mention you'll definitely need a battery charger because that thing will drain it quick. LOL.

Still, you now have my gears winding. I've got all of those parts (with the exception of the water pump) laying around in my shed.....just sitting there waiting for me to come up with something. I see myself getting shocked sometime this summer on a day that I'm bored/drinking and think of this thread. Bahahahaha

It doesn't get hot. There is very little load on it compared to cranking over an engine. Yes, eventually I'll have to charge the battery, but I've ran it for a half hour and it's still going strong.
