I have a few (3 or 4 right now) smart cards from cable / sat boxes with that little gold square. Is there an easy way to get that gold off (or just scrape it)? Is it worth the time?

1200 cards = 1lb of the square gold bit = 1g of Gold
Is it worth it?......
So does this mean these are one of those things we should just keep throwing into a sandwich bag on a shelf somewhere and maybe one day we'll have enough to send in?????
I started saving sim cards this week.
Smart cards and sim cards just go in a tin can. By the time I get enough to cash in maybe gold will be up to 2000.00
I keep all of mine. If they are smart cards I trim them up and put them in a ziplock. I'll be ahead of the game when their value goes up. If you think they aren't worth it you can send them to me and I'll pay shipping.
if anyone wants to give up sim cards let me know i resell them at a higher rate than refining them yields or selling to a scrapper, the satelite reciever box smart/access cards you are talking about go for $4 each on ebay so its probably not worth selling them or processing them as scrap, i dont consider satellite receiver cards to be scrap, but thats just my 2 cents
i see over 50 listings of these on ebay right now
