By one scrap run I'm guessing you mean one trip. The most I got from one trailer load was 425. It was 2 big steel tanks.

i had a towbar that i modified with a steel plate to bolt to the bumper using the factory bolts on school busses. 2 hours, from when i showed up to when i had cash in hand. 10,000lb @200 a ton= 500 a hour. that was also my first % split that i ever did. the farmer was in the process of cleaning up to sell the farm, and was rather suprised when i returned and handed him a envlope. i figured 50/50 was fair since he wasn't expecting anything, and was still more than i was expecting since it was the magical pickup whare nothing goes wrong.

im still waiting on the magical pick up where nothing goes wrong you done great giving him the money, karma is your name and doing that kinda thing reaps rewards in the longrun

wow how things have changed since i posted my $600 on wheels, im not gonna say alot but it has improved

My biggest load was $47.50 last Saturday. $15 of that as cans, the rest was shred. I rent a home with no garage so as soon as I have a truck load I have to take it in. Been saving all the good stuff in totes so my numbers will be going up soon.

My best money making load was extruded aluminum railings from a hospital making 350$
The next that I can remember were these medical office chairs.(like the ones you sit in when you have teeth cleaned) The weight was like 840 lbs. I made 240$ Keep in mind that both these trips were around 2005 when prices were no where near what they are now.

biggest load I ever took in was also my first e-scrap load ever.a ladys husband died so she had to sell her home .he husband ran a part time computer and electronic repair business out of his home .took me three days and 12 trips with my big suv to get it all .and ill never forget the numbers.138 towers,72 servers,400+ lbs of mixed green board 72 lbs memory 37 lbs cpu ,most were older,and about 1200 lbs of mixed oddball electronics and more. total scrap value after the 7 days it took me to break it all down was 6,392 dollars. best part it was FREE the next day I started buying e-scrap

I would have to say the most I made was my first trip to the scrap yard. I made friends, a business relationship, and an education. After touring the facility and meeting all of the employees, I knew a few of the details that were important to them. Next trip brought donuts followed by soda and other gifts. Trips into this yard are limited at this point, but they still treat me well. More importantly, my son has taken over my previous business and reports he goes to the front of the line, gets extra help unloading, and everyone treats him as royalty. As far as value amount of a load, more than I deserve.

My best load was $1000. Heaviest load was 700# of batteries. I'm another small timer working out of my car for now.
