Scrapping how-to question.

Tonight I plan to start my scrapping adventures. I have an old 25" tv to take apart, and an old gas dryer too. As part of my education, and also to help others learn as well, I was thinking of documenting each of my tear downs and posting them for all here to see. My question to everyone is, should I post them here, or maybe on a seperate blog page? Should I just take photos, or do videos? How would you guys like to see it? Let me know today so I know how to shoot the tear downs tonight. Thanks!

I myself would prefer videos... Personally trying to follow along with written word doesn't work too well for me.

If you plan on doing a lot of these tutorials, then I'd probably go with my own blog.

I think a youtube channel is the easiest.... more people will see it.

Maybe that would be best. A blog page, plus youtube channel, all on scrapping, but specifically on tearing things apart. How-to's, what to look for, what stuff is made of, how much of what metal found, etc... Sound good? Any other ideas?

yeaa, I learned the hard way, wasted alot of time. Npw I use a hammer and an angle grinder

I like the idea of videos, but try for some production values. A single fixed, wide angle of someone guy at a bench tearing stuff up doesn't usually teach much.

I have a full set of nut drivers for my 24v cordless drill, and an attachment that lets me use sockets on it. For me it is often easier to disassemble than destroy. But when the time comes, nothing beats my blue wrench.

Well, I got about half way through the TV tonight. LOTS of wires, and several old circuit boards. This was an old Zenith TV from 1983. ~
This might take a while. Just some photos for this first one. Haven't had time to set up a new e-mail, a blog, or a youtube channel yet. Will get to it soon though. I think I'm about half way done with this one. Maybe 1-1/2 hours so far? Kinda taking my time, learning, taking photos, and checking everything against my magnet (old speaker magnet from my car.) Will post what I have when I'm done.
