    Residential plastic and paper recycling.

Who here does high volumes of residential plastic & paper recycling? Or deals with a company who does? We are looking to jump on board and I would like to see how/what they recycling/purchase.
    Thanks!

I recycle cardboard, but I put a lot of paper in my recycle bin and the county comes and gets that. I can sell the paper but I don't currently have a place to store it. im thinking about buying another old semi trailer just for paper. there is money in it, but you have to have weight. where I am in florida right now cardboard is at 2 to 2.3 cents a pound and mixed paper (newspaper, printer paper, soda and beer boxes, phone books, etc.) is paying 1.2 to 1.5 cents a pound. where I park my semi they manufacture shaped cardboard boxes and I get all the scrap so I have bought an old semi trailer for that and they have about 1200 pounds a week on average of scrap cardboard. I get that for free. I have found most people just want cardboard gone because it is big and bulky and doesn't weigh much. but I will tell you, the weight does add up. as for plastics, I wish I had an answer but I don't have an outlet for that. I am somewhat looking around, but haven't looked hard and/or found any idea on pricing.

Yes. There are a couple of places here is southeast Wisconsin that purchase paper, cardboard and plastic. Prices are about the same as Thecamokid mentioned. Contact me if you'd like to know more...

after I typed that I found some post that "hobo finds" posted on and wow, I'm jealous of his prices. but also he said aluminum cans were at 85 and 95 cents a pound and I have never seen it over 55 so im wondering if geography can play that much of a part..

Ahh mechanic, thank you for that, we don't have a deposit here and I never thought of that. I was trying to think how I could have one of my north bound semis take a couple pallets of baled cans up there lol. There prices here are horrible. We are down to 35 cents on cans but it is what it is..
