where and how did u get it?
or u just took a pci but its not yours?
I have scrapped quite a few of those if you need some tips on breaking them down. The easy way is a lot easier than learning as you go.
Bring a dolly.
I don't think a dolly would do.
I scrapped a 265 pound transformer last summer and I thought it was a big one.
You better get a tow motor.
love it have fun with that one, the pic was taken in a way there is almost no scale until you see the thickness of the wire which is hard with the huge items so it kind of looks like a wacked out pc tower
If we decide to dismantle them I will have more and better pics of them. I'm guessing that the bottom transformer is going to weigh between 1500 and 2000lbs! They are full of coated copper bus bars as well!
We are dismantling them now.
The 3 big transformers in the unit.
The smallest one on the top right. 190lbs
The medium one on the top left. 408lbs
The BIG one on bottom! 3032lbs!!
3 small ones that was in them. 18lbs ea.
In the words of Will Smith, "DAYYUUUMMM!!!!!!!!!" Awesome pics. As much as I would love to have one of those, I don't know how I would be able to handle the heavy bottom coils. Would be interesting trying though.
After getting the units all dismantled the total weight of transformers is 23,726lbs!! The largest one weighed 3,381lbs!
Now to make the sale!!
im just saying
if u dont manage to sell them & end up scrapping them
PLEASE take pics of that too
thats what im waiting to see: how much copper u get out these babies.
