My yard, the owner once pulled out my boards I had thrown in after taking all the copper/transformers and wire off, said it was too much plastic so I can't toss that kind of stuff if I go to that yard .

Are you tossing in unbroken lightbulbs or busting the glass and just tossing the bottoms in?

Sounds like a lot of trash thrown in to me, our yard will dock you for bringing trash in with the load. When your penalized a few cents per # you learn real quick to not do it again.

Most of the bulbs are in the appliances like microwave lights etc. I remove the fridge bulbs to use later. Each yard is different. Mine will take the boards but will not take dishwashers with the plastic tub! Too much plastic on them. But they take a fridge as is! If you bring in bikes you need to remove the tires but the next time I go I see bikes with tires on them...

If I am tearing something apart for the precious metals and find it is taking to much time, I will toss it in the shred pile. Time is money, and its not worth spending to much time ripping some things apart for a few ounces of aluminum, brass, or copper.

Anything that is too time consuming to dissasemble for the copper, brass or aluminum. Some plastics if there is some metal attached.
