but after I got it home and figured out what was actually wrong with it, I fixed it and sold it for $2,500.
Was asking $2,995.
Paid $350.

Nice!!
Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

Sweet man, that's a unbelievable score I've paid way more than that for salvage vehicles
Alvord iron and salvage

Tensioner was shot, belt was shredded and on its last leg. Had my mechanic do that since my chubby hands don't fit in the engine bay. Belt for AC was shot (Guy thought compressor went bad - new belt and it blows colddd), also trans was just low enough it wasn't going into gear. Topped it off and did a few runs and seemed to be fine. Didn't slip and sailed right up to 80 with no problems.
So a few hundred in belts, tensioner and trans fluid and she was back up and running. Oh, and 6 bucks for a car wash to pretty her up. LOL
Need to find more people who don't maintain their vehicles and think they're scrap.
Btw he was asking 400. Was going to offer 300, but figured at 350, or even 400 I'd do alright. Didn't want to beat the guy up over a good price as it was.
Strange part it was on CL for about 3 or 4 days before I decided to jump on it. Usually scrap priced vehicles get snapped up right away.
