    Just a small update...

Ebay sales = $192.10 after all fees (say maybe 25% off material)
Ewaste = Sending a 59 Lbs. box to Ewasted this week

I am giving the person 10% of the profit. Since she was just giving this all away, I think she will be happy.

Still have a Vintage Apple to test, 2 Commodore Monitors, Victor 9000, plus a bunch of other stuff. Even had a few unopened boxes of 8" Floppy Disks. Biggest thing is finding the time to test everything out.

a check showing up in the mail feels to me more impersonal and sorta like conscience money

i would suggest a gift card because it says more of a thank you for the gift she gave you

I think it depends on what the persons motivation is to getting rid of the stuff. If they are doing it for the environment or just to clear out their garage I wouldnt give them money. You are doing them a favor not the other way around.

I forget the specifics but, there was a study done with people that donate blood to the blood bank. When the blood bank didnt pay blood donors they would get more people to participate then when they paid blood donor. This is because people were more motivated about the idea to give blood to save lives than to make money. What is your clients motivation to give you the stuff?

I would just send a thank you letter with business magnet, or t-shirt.
