I consider myself a bottom feeder for auction sites. I go in and bid on a lot of things, but generally my numbers are low. I just hope to get lucky. I watch items from 4-6 auction houses by me on a regular basis. It's better than me buying lotto tickets.

Haven't tried to sell anything yet through any. I generally don't see the numbers I'd like, especially after they get you for the fee to put stuff into lots and take their cut off the top. I usually just do CL and see how things end up, I haven't failed to sell anything from CL (except an old twin bed and a desk that might go to the local)

picked up a nice network piece, a satellite dish, and some pewter for $4.00 plus taxes. We'll see how I do. Picking up tomorrow morning on my way down to the welding shop.

So, to follow up I went to the auction place to check it out today. They sell everything on ebay. They will try to sell anything that has a value of $200 or more. I went ahead and dropped off a Fiber Optic Cable puller valued at $400. Will let everyone know how it goes but, they said for an item like this one it may take awhile.

I want to thank Burly again for this post. I recently sold a vintage computer, monitor and keyboard for $260 and I got around $140. I got 3 more items listed and another 2 that will be listed. Im hoping to get 15-20 items listed (they have a $200 min per item) so, I can get a regular flow of income from them. Looking to see if there are other companies out there by me as well. Great resource.

Plenty of places in NC that do auctions, online and off. A simple google search will give you plenty.

If I recall your out west, or central NC. There are plenty all around NC, unless your on a sandbar like me.

The auction house I use does it on ebay but, Im checking out another auction house that has lower minimums per item and they do ebay, amazon, and craigslist. Oh and excited just sold some fiberoptic equipment for $820, Ill probably see $500 of that. So glad I found these outlet for my stuff and also the swapmeet to get rid of stuff.

Swapmeets, an flea markets are awesome. I've said this before, glad to see someone else going that route.

Some folks like ebay, some auction houses, some cl, some yard sales an swap meets..I like them all(Cept ebay ). Guess it don't matter long as you get rid of the stuff for a good price!

Nice score by the way Mr.sam.

    Thanks,

we just went to the swap meet last week and sold lots of stuff. It was a medium profit day but, we figure it was kind of slow because of the world cup finals and it was a really hot day.
