LCI Lasers

I found seven LCI laser levels in there hard plastic cases. There are seven of them, all in good shape, power up and work just fine. I don't have manuals for them and know little about them. They are for construction type work and are about 10 years old. model numbers 531 XV and 631 XV. I know these have far greater value than scrap! I have never sold on Ebay but that is where I think I'm going with these. Does anybody have suggestions or know anything about these instruments?

first off, where did you find them at? ; ) They're used a lot in drywall and acoustic ceilings

This may be an item that you will need to list and sit on for some time before it sells and not get discouraged. A little more info or a picture would help me find better info for you. Ok thanks for response first off. I need to explain these are all dumpster finds! I own a small landscape and property management company. A commercial property I maintain with over 80 small companies located on it with 22 dumpsters is like my little "urban mine". Not ashamed to say I'm addicted to diving into these dumpsters for the right $$$$. So these were legal when I pulled them from the trash and that's that! Have to give out correct model numbers 621 pro XV, AccuBeam XV-1, and a Hilti Pro 16. Will Try and get some pictures out.

Bear I think your 100% correct, I think they are used in interior construction, like drywall, ceilings, Floors etc. In the cases they each have brackets that the lasers can be attached to and then mounted to a flat surface. The cases also had the power supplies so as the laser batteries can be charged up. Each unit is missing the manuals, remote controls and the targets. Going to try and obtain manuals. I have found manuals available on ebay for around $15.00, want to see if download manuals are available. I did find the address for the company that makes the LCI lasers (Co. is here in Cali.). Any info would be appreciated by all - thanks again.

the company(lsi) might have manuals available for download. That's quite a bit for somebody to just throw away, unless maybe the company there went bankrupt, foreclosed or something and they were just cleaning out the space. Still, it's kind of funny they'd only toss lasers, you should have found a little bit of everything in there with it. Those are some high dollar tools, and if they're missing from someones inventory, they may be reported. I'm not questioning your integrity, but it might be something for you to consider, and be sure it was meant for disposal, and not some disgruntled employee stuffing the dumpster for later

I guess that's all possible, I'm really not into it that much any more, but recall some of them being 5000+, and taken extremely well care of

Actually I found a lot of tools in that dumpster, I also found Hilti Hammer Guns that are worth some real $$$ as well. I just gave my mom a nice mac laptop that I found at at same place Sunday while I was working the complex. I quit trying to figure it out a long time ago, I get paid to maintain the facility so it's just a pay raise! will try to do pictures latter tonight (again). back to work

listed properly, with everything in place, it won't matter what you start it at. As far as that goes, the lower, the better. When I was selling laptops on there that would bring 4-6 hundred dollars, I'd start them at $0.99 cents, knowing that would get people started bidding early, and that the price would reach the top, from the sheer factor of so many people interested in it early. If you 'll use the pre scheduled listing it helps a lot also, and have it all set up at least a couple hours before it's set to start.

Well I sold the Hilti Pr16 rotary laser level on ebay for $75, for sure better than scrap value! I could of did better though, the value of this tool is $200 at the low end. I made mistakes (like calling it a pro16), should have taken more pictures, listed for more days, ending time were I could have monitored that last hour. Overall I'm very happy, this is going to be a new way of making money and that's what its all about. Not bad for an item found in the dumpster. I have easy more than $1,000 worth of tools I'm going to list on ebay in the coming days.
