We had a knife manufacturer bring in several thousand knives that are made from 410 stainless. I happened to look them up on ebay and almost sh!t myself.

Being a scrap yard are you allowed to resell something like that? I would think they brought them in to be destroyed and not resold. If not hook me up ill ebay the heck out of them.

I would say that they wanted them destroyed thats why they scrapped them. If they found out you were selling them you could lose more then just the account you could lose your Good name and reputation as a recycler. I get stuff in all the time that could be Resold for more money but if I started doing that then I wouldnt have those accounts.

Rather than assume I would expect that the receiving recycler confirm the wishes of the disposing party. If there are any constraints on what the disposer desires for the products they are disposing of that should be in a contract. Even more so if it is new product that could be resold.
