Unless you can test the equipment or can afford to hold items or possibly lose a little then you ought to pass.....in scrap alone you will not even come close to $250

After my experience with Apples, I'd pass.

Get a list of the stuff, an do some market research on tested an non-tested.

Video game addiction can be fun...what games an systems do you enjoy? You can feel free to PM that, so as not to derail your own thread tho.

The very early Apple II's are worth quite a bit of money but you have to know what you are looking for. If you are buying them for scrap pay scrap prices and do a little look over before you strip them. Too many people think because some computer is old it is worth money, most of it is broken junk. Tons of Apple II's were purchased by schools and somebody hung onto them for too long after the school dumped them.

I do in deed. Some of my favorite/notsofavorite moment's were due to using some choice words while playing duck hunt, or old atari stuff.. lol.

    Good luck on the Apples!

I would think the thing to do is offer less. I bet if you were in them for 150.00 you would be okay if you like to use Ebay. Obviously there would be some risk with Ebay. If you aren't going to put the work in to get a few systems up and running, then part out the rest, I wouldn't get involved.

I think you may have forgot a select+start there, but my recollection is foggy.

Here is my gift to you old school gamers. And by old school, I mean OLD school. Think Coleco, 2600, 7800... Pre NES.

Unless you know exactly what you are getting and know how much you can sell them for, I would pass. $250 is way above scrap value.
I did get an old Apple IIC several months ago, complete with the small 9" CRT monitor, manuals, disks, etc. Plugged it in and it worked, sold on ebay for $170 + shipping. However I only paid scrap price for it as part of a larger lot.

That's for two player mode. A+B select start...30 lives both players.

I started out on an coleco an atari, an amegia?..oh an can't forget the great commodore 64...gah, I feel old.

Anyhow..I like the idea of him adding the units, so you can make some thing off them if the apples don't fetch much. People today are strange tho.

    Good luck either way!
