Playstation 3's

Aloha everyone

We just received 3 playstations 3's in our shop, all the same problem. They dropped it off to recycle. Just for kicks I fired them up to see what the issue was.

They turn on (very loud fan noise for 5 seconds) then kicks off and blinks red a few times. Replaced the hard drive on all 3, and viola! Three working Playstation 3s I can sell for $125-$150ish.

Anyways, takes like 3 screws and a working hard drive. They need to be 5400RPM.

Just thought I'd mention, if any of you run into this!

Ya know I was looking for a new 360...but at that price I could deal with a ps3. Ha ha!


Sure ya know this but if ya get any 360s with the red ring of death, it's usually fixable reaplying the thermal grease. I'm pretty sure that it. been awhile since I looked up the fix to it. Guess my point is some of them are fixable.

Get any 360s...anyone for that matter. I'm looking for one. Would prefer one with built in HD(250gb?) an wi-fi.
