Found this Monday night and it works but it is LOUD!!!!! It screams! I googled it and can find zero information on this thing, I think MTD bought out Sunbeam. All I can find is a couple pics of auctions selling them lol. I think its from the 60's.

I have seen them in use and they work OK
BUT
I have never thought it was a good idea to be standing in snow (Water) using an electrical device with an open plug about 6 feet from you

We don't have snow down here and have never seen one of those but I thing John is right. I don't think snow and electric get along very good. Use at your own risk.

Bearing in the motor is probably on it's way out if it's howling like that, but it looks like it's in nice shape...might be able to part it out...or run it until it dies a screaming death. LOL
I have an electric Toro, my mom wanted one, found it almost brand new at a yard sale for $20...she never used it.
Been using it for 4 winters now, haven't run over the cord yet, zapped myself, or tripped the ground fault (knock on wood).
It does a pretty good job actually, I prefer it to the 100+ lb 5hp gas powered beast because I can unplug it and pick it up with one hand and lift it onto the porch/deck even.
