Wow, that does look clean! Maybe they were using it around the curb, then suddenly had to go to the bathroom, dropped it, ran in the house, you drive by and see its at the curb, grab it, then out comes the owner after having gone to the bathroom and its gone! lol. Hmmm, I wonder if something like that's happened before

Angle, I almost want to go back and double check with him and give it back if he threw it away by mistake!

ETA: src, I picked this up at 1 am, it was on the garbage pile.

Maybe they're a night owl? haha. jk

I'm actually kind of jealous, I could really use one of those like that right now, I only recently came across a puny little electric one.

I know right? (night owl stuff) but, it didn't look like anyone was out and doing yard work, the house was closed up and the lights were off. I thought about that too.

This happened to me a few weeks ago. There was a mower at the curb and the garage wasn't open nor was the house. I sat there for like 5 minutes and nobody came out so I took it. Took it home and she fired right up. It was a rich neighborhood and there was a hole in the bag and a piece was bent so they must of got a new one.

    Never question the trash gods.

Last mower I got was less than 2 yrs old.

Divorce, flooded it/couldn't get it started, unwanted gift...

Found a Ryobi like that one year...used it for years and years until it finally died last spring...I have a big hillside above the house that I can't use a mower on...I find electric ones and sometimes take them up there to see how long they last before they go up in a puff of smoke.

Hubby bought me a 4 cycle last mother's day...it's nice...but a lot bigger...and it can be a real bi*ch to start when it feels like it, other days it fires right up. Although I won't be throwing it to the curb anytime soon I understand the frustration...I think that's how we score a lot of really good yard stuff sometimes...frustration and lack of maintenance. lol

Well I am a believer in coma, what I would have at least done was write a note to the home owner that you picked this up on there curb and will hold on to it for a couple of days before scraping it, if you are asking this question it probably was not meant to be left on the curb. What goes around comes around.

I'm sorry what? You are calling me a thief? if you read my follow up posts, I found it ON the trash pile at 1 am. I have a witness who can attest to that fact. I have never, nor will I ever pick up anything that looks like its being used or in use.

Its like a snow blower my husband was once offered in a very elite neighborhood, he had stopped to pick up other things and the guy asked if he wanted a snow blower. Hubby asked was it broke and the guy said ''no, just want to buy a new one!''

Well I did not read your follow up posts about 1 am in the morning, that's a little bit of information that I did not see, happy scraping.

Echo is a really good brand too, I'd keep it even if you already have one or a few.

I don't know why they throw them away but I get them in my cleanouts all the time. In fact there are two on my pickup truck right now.
