    Carrier Bus A/C System

A few years back I purchased a '93 Ford E350 cutaway with a steel 15' bus body for a cool $800 runs and drives, former state surplus (DOC) turned into a mobile dog groomer by last two owners, with a rebuilt tranny and the engine feels fresh too, 460 industrial. It came with a Carrier a/c unit all intact. It had an overhead evaportor and under chassis four fan condenser, big mama jamma. I looked online about it, the pump on the engine is $430 just to replace, the evaporator unit is $1500, just the plastic cover for it is $550. Has a good 40' of rubber a/c lines. I never used it because it was disconnected and drained when the state decommissioned it. I sure don't want it to go to waste by scrapping it, everything looks to be in good shape. I still have to remove the condenser from under the chassis, that's gonna be fun.....

I'm pondering on how to sell, don't think I'll get much traffic on CL. Can't guarantee if it works because I never tried it. Any suggestions or opinions?

never know til you try with the CL thing. Sometimes you get pleasantly surprised. Be sure to post to surrounding areas to if you try CL. Which you should. It's free after all an only thing you got to lose is the 15 minutes to make your ad. Easily done will taking a break from other things.

I know here on the sandbar, my CL market is tiny compared to a lot of you. So I just post outside my area, to the surrounding ones. I still do just fine selling via CL.

    Good luck, and as always...YMMV.

I'll finish removing the condenser somehow, I think it was installed with the vehicle on a lift. Get a bunch of pics and throw it on CL and see what bites. Thinking of asking $1k or even trade for something.

Barter it! I've had good luck with the barter section, depending on what I'm trying to move.

Let us know how it turns out for ya. Sure some wiser heads then me will chime in with other avenues for you to explore.
