    Fence posts/ t posts

    T posts are the metal fence posts that are used in barbwire fencing and depending on height they are worth 75 cents on up to 2 bucks in used condition. As long as they can be pounded back into the ground they can be sold. Even ones with small bends can be sold for 25 cents or so.

    I live in ranch/farm country so I'm sure prices are higher out here, but they are used for many different things and should be relatively quick to sell even in metro areas.

    I just hand loaded 1500 5 1/2 foot posts for a guy, who paid 1.75$ per post. Too bad they were not my posts lol.

    On sale new t-posts cost $ 4.00. Lots of t-posts at auction run $ 1.00 - $ 2.00 ea. around here. The seller did well, the buyer okay, and the loader (you) did as well as you believe. There is either major fence reconstruction, preparing for the future, or expansion for the individual that bought 1,500 t-posts. Just think as scrap they are worth only 5 cents each.

    The yard I use (out in the country) pulls almost all of the t-posts I cash in and pile them up for resale by the LB. I would resell them, but everyone wants new ones in suburbia.

    I did very well, I am always thankfull for any opportunity to be humbled by repetitive manual labor!!! I also don't mind networking while someone else is paying me an hourly wage.
