    2 $4,000,000 Sun Mainframes 4 sale cheep.

Didn't know quite where to put this sooooooo.

I thought maybe some one may know some one who has a friend who knows well....... you know the rest.

My military contractor has two (2) Sun M9000 in good working condition.
these are mainframe, top of the line computers, they were 4 million bucks ea. 4 years ago, I hate to scrap them, so I thought I would offer them to members. A chance to make a score. I will take $5000 each, I don't care what you sell them for.
P.M. me. for details. They weigh about 2500 lbs each. so freighting will be necessary. and no you cant look at them with out a TSaa security Clearance. One is in Birmingham Al. and one is in Nashville Tn.

For those not familiar with big server/computer operations, when the service contract runs out, usually 3 or 4 years, they just get new equipment which holds a new 3/4 year contract. usually nothing wrong with the old equipment, that is just the way the big boys choose to spend our money.

    Benchmark record[edit]

On April 17, 2007, a Sun SPARC Enterprise M9000 achieved 1.032 TFLOPS on the LINPACK benchmark, making it the fastest single system supercomputer at that time.[5]

On May 2, 2008, Sun SPARC Enterprise M9000 server achieved a world performance record on the TPC-H data warehousing benchmark at the 1 Terabyte scale factor using the Oracle Database.[6]

As of February 19, 2009, the SPARC Enterprise M8000 holds the 64-thread world performance records on the SPEC OMP2001 benchmark, both for medium[7] and for large[8]

im just thinking, what a hoot it would be to get one of these servers & just use it to surf the internet!!!

like if a friend talks about his computer & then asks u whats the specs on your computer

and then u start to list its specs-
