    MUCH more than scrap value

Here is a prime example of "More Than Scrap Value". The U.S. government at its finest!

thats a waste- in many ways

but i wont get into all that here
just the scrap metal side of it

wonder how much the US military writes off every year?

i think about all the old/rusted machinery &military equipment lying in different parts of the world
some of them may even have valuable parts containing precious metals- just rotting away.

Seems the government could have hired some of us to disassemble, and still made a hefty profit.

Not that any of us would actually work for them.

    OY!
Probably to "increase cash flow" and it isn't like they could go to a neighboring village and say "Ehhh you in da market for a fine slightly used aeroplane?"

Glad I don't live in Kabul. I get 7.5 cents a pound here.
