They are old by our standards. But if its a full cabinet and none of the cards are missing it still has some resale value. However with that being said the scrap value on them are very good as well.

I agree with your computer guy. Cisco switches and other data switches are a dime a dozen and you're going to have a hard time selling them. My opinion.
Most of our customers have been getting newer POE (Power Over Ethernet) switches because they are purchasing new VOIP phone systems and the new IP phones require the newer switches for power and so V-LANS can be programmed.
I agree POE is where the modern market is going but alot of the older non POE switches still have some value to over seas markets and people needed a switch for one that died in an all ready built network that wants a cheaper fix than a $1000 switch.
