Silver Plated...To Polish or Not to Polish?

I browsed through a few of the threads on this topic but didn't find an answer to my question. I saw suggestions of selling for more than scrap and what the base metals would be but I didn't see mention of whether or not to maintain the patina or polish it up. I've always understood that leaving the natural patina in place is best but when I look up pricing on ebay the polished stuff goes for more. It doesn't seem to be selling well anyway.

I have a four piece silver plated FB Rogers tea set. Any opinions or experience on whether or not to polish it would be appreciated.

I buy silver plate and sell for scrap brass. Nobody wants the crap, that's why I can buy it under scrap brass price. If you can turn it for more, I will sell you all you want for scrap copper price.

If selling polish it up, if scrapping don't (no added weight).

In your case it's worth twice as much.

I picked up a bunch of silver plated silverware (silver plated brass) and have been debating on what to do with it. I looked on fee-bay, and they are just not moving worth a flip. May just polish them and admire my handiwork for a while, then figure out whether to try to sell them or scrap them as brass.
