If his other option is to sell them for the metal value, then I would suggest offering him a little more than the going rate. If he is looking for another artist to buy, then you might have a bidding issue. Always buy as low as you can whenever possible. The real question is, at what price are they no longer worth it to you. Another side of that, you may want to look into Steampunk Art. You may be able to design something from these that would increase the value even more. Even possible selling one piece to pay for them both and keeping the other.

I would say that they are definitely worth 500.00 as objects d' art if that's what you are willing to pay for them.

Of course .... the value might go up or down depending on what the next buyer is willing to pay for them.

I bought them today for $400.00. I will hang onto them for now and add to my collections.

I partly wanted them as they reminded me of some that were similar that I remembered seeing when I was very young.

I haven't advanced to digital photography as of yet. It is on my to do list as I have the camera and just haven't been interested enough to read the manual.

Most people these days have cell phones and such with built in cameras, so taking pictures and getting them transfered to the internet is not much of a problem.

I have never had a cell phone or other such device. Never had credit cards, never bought a new vehicle and many other things that seem normal in this world of today.

I Live mostly in the past when it comes to consumer products.

I also don't do or follow any holidays including my own birthday. I have no religion or non religion, no political beliefs or following and I'm not interested in so called sports and such.

I prefer Living in a much slower lane of Life as I don't like having to be in a rush as rushing causes undue stress and hardship.

Thats what happens when I'm asked for something I can't provide at this TIME,lol...

I have the old slow as can be dial up connection running Vista. I can't even watch any on line video content as the connection is so slow.
I do have a nice Fuji digital camera that I bought for taking pictures, but I haven't been interested enough in learning how to use it and such. It is on my list of things to think on as it would be nice to have for taking pictures of things I want rid of.

I do enjoy seeing the nice pictures of things that others post around the forum. I will get around to pictures at a later time. I just have a different list of priorities then most as I'm more of a private person then most others might be. So I have to work on the motivation of thought in the direction of cameras and picture taking as it's not really of personal interest or a big enough priority for me at this time..

Now that I have a high speed internet connection I've been thinking about seeing if my laptop is compatible with my camera.

Have been thinking about looking up the information about getting the camera set up.

If it is a digital camera, usually 99% of the time, you can just get the correct USB cord and plug it in and a thing will pop up on the computer and you can then see/send/upload/edit the pictures and such! give it a try!
