    Better on my "Bottom".

Found a old 10 speed bike a couple of months ago, frame was bent and it has been sitting on my scrap pile since the day I brought it home. I have had the same 10 speed for 30 years are better. It was built to be a good road bike or touring bike. Very well built, the only thing I've replaced until today was the back rim because after 30 years of riding it almost 2 to 3 times a week, it wore out. The seat has lost any cushion and now it hurts by bottom (a$$) after about two or three miles of riding. So was going to go to bike store today to find a seat that was a little more comfortable. Getting in my truck to go and I spot the wrecked bike on the scrap pile. Take a look at it has a really nice leather seat, with springs under it (nice absorbers for my much older bottom now!). Feels much better too!

The crashed bike also had a nicer back rack for hauling light loads, so made that swap-out as well. Nice how sometime things work out. As gas has went up $0.42 in four days , I'm going to ride my old bike with it's "better than scrap" seat more often. Better for my health, my bank account and my BOTTOM.

It's always cool to make use out of something somebody tossed.
I always go to my shred pile before heading to the hardware store.
Hopefully you'll get another 30 years out of your bike.
