    Learned something kinda depressing today

So I was at the scrap yard yesterday (where else would I be on a Saturday morning?) and I noticed a lawnmower sitting in the pile. It didn't look like anything was wrong with it. I started talking to the guy about it and eventually he told me that they get several lawnmowers and lawn tractors and stuff from the local Walmart. Apparently, all the returns go into a big dumpster out back. He said that most returns are for something stupid like a bent blade or scratched paint. And they all go in the big compactor, no matter what. And that's only one store. Imagine how many are thrown away nationally. What a waste. What does a new blade cost, like 10 bucks?

There's nothing more fun and more effective than hitting something repeatedly with a sledgehammer
