Best solution for boat trailer is a light bar! it's simply a set of trailer lights on a wide bar or board. This way the lights can be removed before launching the boat, thus the lights never see water and last much longer. Also handy when towing cars and trucks. Simple to make with cheap light/trailer wire setup.
No need to get the good submersible expensive set.

Lights and a little spray paint will help increase your profit.

Still havent got it inspected and registered, no ones offered to buy it, and I have a week to get it out of there?

I figure I should just remove the axle and the winch and scrap the rest.
Do I need to have paperwork filled out to scrap a trailer if the axle isnt connecteD?

Take your sawzall and cut it up in 3' pieces then haul it in, they'll never recognize it as a trailer, and you should get paid a good price per lb. for being 3' or less. Your loss of money just chalk it up to a life lesson.
