Might have myself a snowblower, keep your fingers crossed!!

So Sunday I picked up an MTD yard machines snowblower. That sucker was freaking heavy to get into my truck, took me 4 tries to pull it up and in even with the ramps I had! Took it straight to my brothers to have him look it over and he said it was a sweet find, it might just be a blown head gasket or a drive issue. I tried looking it up with the model number and its from 1995 from what I could find but it looks like brand new so heck ya I will put some $$ into it because from what I can see by the newer models in comparrison these things start at $500.00!!! My dad said its almost as big as the one he has at their other house and he paid $800.00 bucks for it used years ago. If my brother gets this thing running for me this will be my sweetest ''save'' yet!! Heeee!!!!

Could use that in Denver tonight...Record high of 80 yesterday, calling for 3-6 inches of snow by daybreak. Parttimescrapper could see double since he live closer to the foothills.

New I sure hope ya'll are able to get it running.

Weird but I have never seen a snow blower in person. I guess a rototiller on speed would compare.

    ***Update***

My brothers checked it out today and there was not a thing wrong with the snow blower other than it needs new skids on the bottom. Unfreaking crazy unbelievable someone threw this thing away - they both said its about an $800.00 machine. *Faints*

Now, I'm not advocating for snow to come but when it does I'm going to be snow blowing everywhere!!!! My drive, the neighbors drive, anyone that gave me scrap this year is going to get their driveways snow blown!!

KZ, If I lived close I'd snow blow your driveway too!!

Now I'm not going to know what to do, snow blow or air chisel, snow blow or air chisel.

And anyone that b*tched at you for scrapping, just blow their drive in, not out.
but when it does I'm going to be snow blowing everywhere!!!! My drive, the neighbors drive, anyone that gave me scrap this year is going to get their driveways snow blown!!
Is that a free service for everyone on the forum? Hmmm

I was only going to have to buy the new skids until the tall brother with 8 foot long arms pulled it to start again and snapped the rewind, had to go buy a new one he snapped the spring inside.

MrDew, that's what hubby said, go around and charge a few buck for peeps driveways!
