Well looks like there is a market on ebay for the hot and cold hoses from scrap washng machines too. Just sold a pair of rubber ones for $12 on ebay from a washer I picked up on CL.

Just curious. How long did it take to sell em and how much for shipping? I'm assuming for $12 they pay the shipping here.

I put it up for a 5 day auction with free shipping. starting bid of $12 got one bid so ill jam them in a flat rate envelope for $5 and fees were less then $2. SO I made $5. Better then just throwing them in the trash. I have found if you offer free shipping and just put the starting bid high enuff to cover the shipping and fees you sell more stuff.
Huh, never thought of it like that. Nice going. Man I have 20-30 sets of those things lying around. Think I might give that a try. Shoot, I'll take the $5.00 profit any day.
Yeah but you should have returned that dang keyboard of yours. Or at least filed a not as described case
Good for you! I guess one could sell anything on ebay. I mean why in the world would someone buy a used hose over the internet for more then they cost at the store brand new, it's crazy! Works out great for you Part Time but what are these people thinking? They must sit at home all day shopping on TV and ebay. I don't know about you but if I am hooking up a hose somewhere in my home I want a little insurance it won't burst while I'm at work.
They are just nuts! I should start selling stuff on ebay, but I'm to lazy and it seems like a pain in the ass.
Good going Part Time you seem to sell a lot of stuff there.

Its called shipped to your door. People will pay a little more if not same to have item shipped to your door. As far as more then they are new in the store. I think $12 is way cheaper then $18 that homedepot is asking for a set of hoses.
Well ebay now charges fees on shipping too because people were charging 30 bucks for shipping to avoid the fees. So now it dont matter what you charge for shipping.
Yeah eBay started doing that fee if they deem that you charge too much for shipping to encourage free shipping so they can get their fees. The did a survey and concluded that customers "like free shipping." Well no duh, I'm sure they'd like free products too if they could get them, lol.
