    Smile From Worthless to Priceless

This is a life size yard sculpture that I built out of relatively worthless parts of cars ,stoves, hibachi, lawnmowers and of course a few unserviceable motorcycle parts.
Sold it to a doctor for $900. but the real payoff was priceless ; the many hours of enjoyment of the creative process.

Resourceful you have a rare gift that not many people have and if i could do that type of stuff I think i'd focus more on doing those type of projects. Just a thought!

Ptscrapper, thanks. I am, little by little, incorperating sculpture into my plan to keep the wolf from my door. I've got research to do concerning marketing. I live in a small rural community that has limited marketing opportunities for artwork. That's my excuse right now. There is, however, a market for economicly priced rustic stuff made out of old horse shoes and what not.

Curbside shopper, The bike did roll and steer. I couldn't help but coast it down a hill a couple of times, mainly just for the fun of it but also to see if it might be feasable to build another like it that would actually run and be rideable.

How about Craigs List? It actually covers a large area, last nite I was looking at cheap pickup trucks from here to Indy. That's over a hundred miles away. Or maybe Ebay classafieds?

That's a very authentic looking sculpture! Do you have any build pics? I'd love to see how the individual components came together

How long did it take you to make? That's an awesome piece of work. Unfortunately no artistic bones in my body.

Midnight, thanks for the positive feedback. I think I had about 60 hours into that build. I think there is a little of the artist in all of us. Maybe you will surprise yourself one day.
