Fume hood

Any ideas where I can sell a Biological fume hood. I removed one from a research lab about 1 year ago and have been just sitting on it cause i don't no where to sell it. I have called medical supply com., tried advertising on CL, talked with schools, but no luck so far!

MODEL: # 54L936
DATE: 5-9-03

Condition: Used and being sold as is. This item was not tested for operation. It was removed from an operating environment and placed in storage, we can not verify operational status. May need service and / or parts to make fully operational.

This Fume Hood was Removed From a Clean Enviroment.
Price: $8500.00 OBO.

I checked Ebay out, but these don't seem to do well on there. Who knows though? might be worth a try. Thanks for the reply Easy.

I tried the 2 items below on eBay. Neither got anywhere close to reserve. Tossed them on BOE and got close to asking.

How much is it worth?

First off lower your price (and expectations). I work for a company that sells and installs these new and I can tell you that there's no magic place that you can go to sell used ones (except the scrap yard). All you can do is keep posting it to Ebay, Craigslist and any other online marketplace and wait for someone to find you. Most likely it'll be a small business or a small start-up that's trying to save money while they grow. If you have the space to store it I would just keep at it and keep posting it to craigslist every week. I would post this at most for $2000 and would be happy with anything around $1000. I don't know how your fume hood is setup but we've sold some brand new 6' hoods with a basic configuration for around $2000. If you're a small business trying to save money, are you going to pay $8000 for a used one or $2000 for a new one that's guaranteed to work?
