    electric organ

For the past year or so i have been haulin away scrap for a pastor that is slowly remodeling and updating his church. He called me this morning to come get some cast iron pipes that he had removed when he upgraded his plumbing and sewage. After i loaded all that he had piled up for me ( about 1100 lbs im guessing) he asked me to come look an old piano that he wanted hauled off. It was a typical upright piano that you would see in most churches and i told him it would be no problem. He then showed me this organ. It is a yamaha electone and he said it was a $10,000 organ when they bought it new in the 70's. My question is have ne of yall ran across ne thing similar and if so whats this thing worth. The good news is he doesnt want a dime for it so im not risking ne thing im just wonderin how much i should ask for it.

One thing about some electric organs is they have a Leslie speaker. That speaker can be sold without the rest of the organ if you are going to just do a distroy and salvage. Check it out first before getting the big hammer out. Mike.

Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked

If you can't find a buyer as is, remember to check parts prices for the speaker inside (as miked said) and the amplifier unit inside. If it works and it's the vacuum tube type it can be worth a bit of money on ebay. People use them to build guitar amps.

You need to be careful when a clergyman offers to show you his organ.

I had a chip last year that had a good amount of gold on it. Turns out it was from a Hammond organ. I think it sold for $5 on e-bay.
