Heavy Metal- But not for Scrap

A couple of miles from me a house built in 1905 and still owned by the same family had a Estate Sale this weekend and was able to get some things that have resale value including these two pieces. First is a Antique Enterprise Food Press that will squeeze juice out of anything and also doubles up as a sausage casing stuffer. Still very popular and a hot Ebay item.

And this is a small Boiler/Steamer made by American Radiator Co. Only about 20" tall and 14" across the top and would have been used to either heat water in a tank or heat a remote part of a house or shop. Going to get creative with this and turn it into something functional without destroying it so it can be returned to original condition if need be. Will report back when done.

Spent $58 on the two pieces.

Now that's a heck of nice find there, KZ! I was glad to see that you're not sending em to the yard also. Not every piece of metal has to scrapped. Looking forward to seeing how the boiler turns out when you get through restoring it. What are you're plans for the food press? You gonna hold on to it or put up on ebay? Either way, more power to ya!

It will hang out around the house for a month or two, get a bath then be put up for sale. It's the 4 qt model but weighs in at about 40 pounds...Grandma must have had some guns on her to be moving this thing around.

LOL. Now that's funny. But probably true. Unless she got gramps to lug it around. Anyway, when you get ready to sell let me know. Maybe we can do some business together. I'd sure like to own a piece like that.

What a great find Kz. I don't blame you Jack that would be sweet to have!

At first I wasn't sure about the press but ran home to do some research. I was glad to see what came up and very glad when I went back and it was still there.

So just now I'm processing a Ebay order from last night and someone bought something in California that lives on Scarface Road...Sounds like a nice neighborhood to live in. They bought a Persian rug, too small to wrap a body in though.
