    New keeper!

    http://leafblowers.myleafblower.com/...wers-Js45.html

    scroll down....

I found the push mower last night. Pulled and it had compression but wouldn't catch. Had my brother come over and look at it and he got it running in less than 15 minutes - the cable was broke on it was all so he bypassed that.

First the snowblower, now this mower! it sure bets my buck and change model from Home depot!

Not sure if the guy threw it out couldn't fix it or just didn't care lol.

    Congrats!

I've found alot of "dead" mowers (and trimmers) that just needed a simple fix or the carb cleaned.

I think most people get fustrated with them and it's just easier for them to buy a new one.

Thanks! I've picked up quite a few edgers that work too, kept one for myself and one at my parents. You're right, they probably do get frustrated. Once we got it going I felt guilty, like I should take it back to the guy since it was such an easy fix lol. Got over that pretty quick though!!

    Love your screen name BTW!!

    Thanks!

Every time I take my son picking, I say "lets go shopping".

    He just laughs.

Now that sounds like my daughter when I win a storage unit. Every time she is with me at the auction I end up buying a unit or two for her "shopping".

@Ticonderoga You bid on storage units. Here in Australia a show "storage wars" (probably old show in USA) is popular. How realistic is that show? Does anyone really find valuable collectibles very often, and has the show stuffed the buisness?

I'll let Ty answer you on that but if it's like the show Gold Rush, the one guy thrown off (Jimmy Dorsey) says that every fight and argument was scripted but Discovery channel calls it reality.

that show with ton and whats the other dude?, any way they were filming a show in gulfport ms and they bought a unit and did not find anything so they bought an airboat and rolled it in and piled up some boxes around it. and all the shows have killed the buisness for the people that used to make a living from it. I had just got started in the buisness before all the shows came out, made decent money on the units. now a beat up nasty box goes for $1000 like there is gold in it.but the 1 room i walked away from that was nothing but trash bags piled across the floor and looked really bad went for $50. when i went and talked to the guy who bought it they showed me 3 gold teeth and then his grandson came out with a loaded ar15, thank god he did not pull the trigger. glad he had trained the kid in gun safety.could have been my $50 ar though , man i was mad.

People can make a good living doing Storage Auctions, but that show unfortunately, I wouldnt believe 100%

I had a storage once, in a big city. Was in it once when they came through auctioning. Was a quiet, well mannered crowd, which moved through at a fairly fast pace

I don't know what it is about my finding John Deere's lol, but I found last week a John Deere 6.5 HP JS63c push mower last weekend. Got it home and started it up and it was knocking a bit so I thought maybe he had bent the shaft but it was dark and didnt look at it too close but it mowed so i figure heck, I'll keep it till it dies! Took it home to my house to tear it down and clean it up and check it out closer and all that was wrong with it was the blade was loose, that was the knocking sound. i sharpened the blade and shined her up and now I have a mower that retailed for over $500.00 back when they were still sold!!!!

So now I have the 6.5 HP which is hilarious because the engine is almost as big as the deck for such a small cut and the 6.75 HP I found earlier in the year!

My mom wants me to sell one and I'm like NO WAY!!!!!!

guy had it by the roaad, I went to the door to make sure he was throwing it away and he said the motor had froze up. So I took that home and had my brother help look at it and all thats wrong with it was it had sat out and got full of water/mud and was just gummed up in tthe carb, so thats also cleaned and running.

Too bad I dont need that one but I'm going to put a sign on that one and try to sell it! I figure $150.00 is good yard sale price.
