Yeah just did...Hate to scrap but I need truck space
dang man, is that a wood cookstove ? i'd never sell that for scrap, you shouldn't have to either, there in mid TN there are scores of historic places and private collectors needing or wanting furnishings like that.
survival types would kill for that. SELL it or keep it you may need it not too far in the future. I have been looking for one for years.
It is not a cookstove it is a fireplace insert
There's some comments about the Englander in this thread
http://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/w...-stoves.45004/
I think the horseshoes are on the early ones, but one comment mentions EPA work-around, likely grandfathering or something. They're still sought after item, saw one ad asking 500
Would make a nice shop heater too.
Yeah tommorow I was thinking about trying to consign it at auction house
It's beautiful. It's a nice problem to have. Good luck keep us updated.
I have emailed two auction companies about consignment....Hope to hear something I am going to take it around to some salvage companies or auction companies tommorow
sweet it would bring $500- ot $1000 around mobile al. at auction any less and i would be surprised, maybe more
consign it to an antique shop, i would love to have it in mine if i was closer.
let us know where how it goes

Put it up for auction....The auction is the 21st of this month....It is in Knoxville Tn If anyone more interested in attending send me a PM
i'm sure the auction will be advertised, might not hurt to run your own, several days or a week before, specifically for that insert
Well what happened????
Sold it at auction....Didn't get as much as I wanted but better than scrap!
A lot of very nice looking wood stoves and heater got tossed because the homeowners insurance company would not insure the home with a wood burning appliance unless it had a valid CSA tag on it.
Some ice fisherman may want it for his hut or some guy who has an OSB sheet board or barn board shop thrown up in his backyard.
