    1933 Villiers Stationary Engine

    Decided not to use a water pump salvaged off of another DT466 and went to Brandon to get a new one, thought it best to do this job once and be done with it.

    New pump is already installed all the belts back in place ready for work. On the way home from Brandon came across the neat old Villiers Stationary engine.

    The engine is from around 1933's, 2 stroke, my first motorcycle at age 8 was a small Villiers.

    Gus, do you find this stuff at antique stores, flea markets or what? I've seen some of the stuff you come across and down here in Georgia that stuff is pretty much non-existant as far as I can tell.

    The Villiers engine sold on ebay for $211.37 to an American buyer.

    Nice! Is it "light" enough to box it up or does it need a pallet? I'm not too sure of the scale judging by the pictures. I'm glad you made way more than scrap for it though. I'll say it again, "Let this be a lesson to all - don't scrap the old stuff!"

    Shipping via the postal system the weight limit is 66 lbs for most country's. Australia is much less, a 671 or an 8V-71 blower off of a Detroit diesel will not make it there as one assembly. When I find these I sell them to the rodders who will dissemble them for complete rebuilds and polish up the cases while they're apart.
