Anyone have any idea what the scrap value of 100 ft of 224-100 amp electrical wiring would be?

Should be at #1 price if it is stripped,#1 being the highest price of 1 and 2. It is usually easier to strip and if it aint, it should be...Here in Ohio its bringing around $3.12 a pound...Stripping it so it is clean and bright brings the biggest amount...Thanks for your post and "...KEEP ON SCRAPPIN"...Scott
With the insulation stripped off, about about $3.00 a pound as #1 Copper. With the insulation still on, about half that as Insulated Copper. Easy enough to figure - weigh a foot of it and go from there. It's really hard to say what that particular insulation weighs per foot but I generally allow 10%.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
I dont have any yet. There is some for sale in my area but im sure its not worth buying it to scrap.
I'm not up on my electrical terminology enough to know--is it copper for sure? Or is it Aluminum? Lots of electrical service lines are aluminum...
