Finally a good way to get rid of CD/DVD/BluRay

I came across 100+ CDs in March from what looked like a moving clean out and sent them all to musicmagpie.com. Lowest I got for a CD was .50 and the highest I got was 4.50. Ended up with $131.21 and just sent out another box for $75.46. Only problem with musicmagpie is that it took nearly a month to get the check (I wasn't really in a rush just got a little nervous since I never dealt with them).

@ PTS .. be careful on buying at auctions. They don't take any BMG Music Club CDs or basically anything without a UPC or any promo stamped CDs, although I did throw in a few that had promotional cuts on the side and holes in the barcode and still got my full check.

So did we ever find out what a "shock tower" is?

Why not sell to pawn shops? Around here, they pay $1 for any cd, $2 for any dvd. Just can't be scratched, and it's cash in hand.

Nearly every pawn shop around here stopped carrying CDs long ago. There's like 1-2 stores that I can think of that still buy/sell used CDs and I'd rather bring to them first but they're extremely selective on what they take. Musicmagpie accepted every readable barcode I scanned.

I'd gladly take $1 CD/$2 DVD if I could get it.

FYI, in my experience, a shock tower is the carrier or bracket that a suspension shock mounts into on some cars. Some cars with torsion bar systems instead of front coil springs have shock towers.

FYI - Uk based peeps ....I have used Musicmagpie , Zapper and ziffit....The only thing i find usefull is to have all three sites up at the same time and enter barcode and 'copy and paste' between the three sites (£0.18 on one becomes £0.32 on another and £0.25 has been £4.89)With one person reading and the other entering an easy 100+ an hour. For cds works out about £0.38 per disc DVD nearer to £0.50 each.
You can have a bad batch and get lower , but when you get a good batch - happy days.
Cash for clothes is nice earner to £0.50 per kg (Cash payment too - not that i would take the cash and run - No never)

ive looked into several of these sites that but cds ,dvds, and such but everytime i read the fine print it just doesnt sound very promising
